        Summary points:A 52-year-old obese woman with hypertension and hypothyroidism presents with dyspnea on exertion. This case report provides the findings from various diagnostic studies, and includes images from echocardiography and polysomnography. The authors discuss the literature on the relation between sleep-disordered breathing and cardiovascular risk, and outline the standard treatment for these patients.
